The Approach
Why This Format Works
Built around how operators actually think and work, not how engineers document systems.
Operator-First Language
Written to be read and used in the field, not archived in a cabinet. Every section answers a real operator question.
Consistent Across Systems
Every system gets the same structure. Operators learn the format once, then apply it to every system in the plant.
Safety Integrated Throughout
Hazards, interlocks, and safe-state actions aren't bolted on at the end - they're embedded where operators need them.
Training-Ready From Day One
Skill-testing questions are built into every manual, so each document doubles as a training resource.
Tied to Your Documents
Cross-references P&IDs, datasheets, C&E matrices, and procedures - keeping the manual connected to your engineering package.
Commissioning to Operations
Structured to support first-fill, start-up, and handover - not just steady-state operation. Works across the full lifecycle.
Every section answers six questions
We hold every paragraph of every manual to the same six-question test. If a section can't answer them, it gets rewritten until it can.
P&ID Field Checks & As-Built Redlining
On-site P&ID field verification to ensure your drawings match the plant as it actually exists
Sulphurtech International Services Ltd provides on-site P&ID field checks to ensure your drawings match the plant as it actually exists in the field.
We travel to your site, walk down systems line by line, and redline your existing P&IDs to reflect true as-built conditions before or during commissioning and startup.
On Site, We:
Deliverables
- •Marked-up / redlined P&IDs based on field walkdowns
- •Summary of key discrepancies and issues affecting operations or procedures
- •Priority list of changes to update in the master drawing set
- •Optional: integration of as-built information into your procedures
When to Use This Service
- •Before pre-commissioning and commissioning
- •Prior to initial startup / first oil / first gas
- •During revamps and debottlenecking projects
- •When drawings are known to be outdated or inconsistent with the field
Add-On Option
Combine P&ID field checks with procedure development so all new procedures are written against verified, as-built drawings.
How It Works
A straightforward, 5-step process
Scope & Documents
You provide P&IDs, PFDs, cause & effects, line lists, data sheets and your internal standards (HSE, PTW, isolation, templates).
Procedure List & Boundaries
Together we define the procedure list, system boundaries, assumptions and any regulatory or client requirements.
Drafting
Sulphurtech develops procedures in your preferred format, structured for field use with clear steps, checklists, cautions and notes.
Review & Revision
Your SMEs review. We incorporate comments and issue controlled revisions (Rev.0, Rev.1, etc.).
Ongoing Support (Optional)
After commissioning or operational use, we can update procedures with lessons learned, MOC changes and feedback from the field.
For P&ID Field Checks
We simply add an initial step:
Optional Step 0 – P&ID Field Verification
We attend site, perform P&ID walkdowns, redline drawings, and then use those as-built P&IDs as the basis for new or updated procedures.
Pricing
Pricing can be tailored to each project, but the guide below shows how Sulphurtech typically structures costs

Includes:
- •Field walkdowns
- •Redlined P&IDs
- •A short issues summary
Office time for final documentation:
- •Included in the agreed day rate, or
